Meet Denali! This approximately 7-month-old pup is a delightful mix, possibly Basset Hound and a larger working breed like an Anatolian Shepherd or Black Mouth Cur. He's a handsome low-rider with a big personality and an even bigger heart, expected to weigh around 45-50 pounds when fully grown. Denali is a social butterfly who loves to play fetch, chase squeaky toys, and join in on all your activities. Above all, he adores his people and thrives on being close to them, enjoying following you around and cuddling up on the couch.
Ideal Home
Denali gets along well with dogs and children, but can sometimes be fear-reactive towards other dogs if challenged. He needs a calm, structured environment and would do best with mellow, respectful canine companions. While he enjoys doggy friends, any resident dogs should be easygoing. Adopters should be comfortable managing introductions and continuing his positive training. He would be particularly well-suited for someone familiar with larger working breeds like Anatolian Shepherds, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, or Black Mouth Curs, as an understanding of these intelligent breeds will help him reach his full potential.
Ongoing Health
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.
Training & Support
Denali has made tremendous progress in a short time and responds well to correction. He is eager to please, and his confidence is expected to continue growing in a stable, loving home. He is not a difficult dog, just one who needs a thoughtful leader to help him succeed. Patience and consistency will be key to his continued development.
