Teddy

Hello, my name is Teddy, or as my foster mom calls me, Teddybear! I am a sweet, approximately 13-year-old male Yorkie mix, weighing in at a petite 10 pounds. I do really well with other small-to-medium dogs, but large dogs and boisterous puppies can be a bit overwhelming. I’m looking for a cozy retirement home where I can relax and be pampered. My foster mom says I’m one of the easiest fosters she's ever had – I eat well and enjoy my kibble. I had a recent dental procedure and now have only four teeth in the front, so small kibble is best for me!

Ideal Home

I'd love a home with older children who understand the needs of a senior dog. Homes with young children who might chase might be a little scary for me. I also tend to be a bit of a velcro pup, so I’d do best in a home where I can be with you often.

Ongoing Health

I have a slight vision issue in my left eye, but it doesn't stop me from exploring! I might also have some age-related hearing loss. I did have a drastic dental procedure and only have 4 teeth remaining in my upper front.

Training & Support

Potty training was a new concept for me, but I now prefer to go outside. I can have occasional accidents inside during the day and sometimes in my kennel at night, as I'm still learning to control my bladder. Providing a potty pad indoors would be helpful. I also enjoy riding in a booster seat to see the world, but please keep food away from me in the car, as I might try to jump out to get to it! I’ve decided that I need to sleep on the bed with my foster mom, ideally near her feet.
