Buddy Edward is a middle-aged dude with a bit of a belly – but don't worry, we're working on it! He's the happiest, silliest little Shih Tzu around, known for his adorable snorts and charming waddle. Buddy came to us at 18 lbs, and while his vet says his bloodwork is great, his weight is a concern. His foster is helping him out with a special diet and just one meal a day to get him to a healthier weight.
Buddy has a beautiful coat of curly white and tan fur. He had some bald spots from skin infections, but they've all grown back nicely! Because he's a Shih Tzu, he'll need regular trips to the groomer to keep his coat looking its best, in addition to regular exercise.
Ideal Home
Buddy is already living harmoniously with cats, small dogs, and big dogs in his foster home. He absolutely adores attention and loves nothing more than snuggling up on a lap. He's also leash-trained and potty-trained, making him a great companion for adventures.
Ongoing Health
Buddy is up-to-date on all his vaccines, has been dewormed, microchipped, and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on preventative medication.
Training & Support
Buddy is already potty-trained and leash-trained, and he loves car rides and going anywhere! As mentioned, his weight is a health concern we're actively managing.
