Despite his traumatic start, he allowed kind strangers to rescue him, and after weeks of veterinary care, he's made a full recovery. He's now heartworm-negative and eager to share a lifetime of love as a thank you for his second chance.
Rocket is an incredibly well-behaved companion. He enjoys playtime in the yard, though he does have a prey drive and might bark at squirrels. He's perfectly content to relax in his crate for extended periods and is fully house-trained and crate-trained. Rocket walks beautifully on a leash and already knows commands like sit, down, stay, come, and heel, thanks to professional training.
He absolutely adores affection and thrives on praise and attention. Rocket has proven to be gentle and patient with young children and is accustomed to the lively atmosphere of a busy household.
Rocket is friendly with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, but he's also happy to be the sole furry star of your home. His energy level is moderate; he enjoys a good romp or a couple of walks each day, after which he's happy to settle down for a nap. His favorite pastime is chewing, and he's a champion at it!
