Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a handsome 2-3 year old, 80lb Labrador Retriever mix who was found in rough condition but has since made a full recovery and is ready to shine! He's intelligent and diligent, with a bit of an independent streak, making him a wonderful companion for those who appreciate a dog with a job to do. Sherpa is friendly with people and gets along with other similar-sized dogs. While he's eager to please, he's still maturing and learning appropriate social skills, often more interested in exploring or focusing on a task.

Ideal Home

Sherpa would thrive in a home that understands his working dog nature and can provide him with engaging tasks and continued socialization.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa has made a full recovery from heartworms and past injuries. He is vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

To help Sherpa continue to grow, he's been attending Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, where he excels at scent work and is improving his communication skills. His adopter will receive 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct's trainers, which can be done in-person (for those in NYC or willing to travel) or virtually.

Transportation

Sherpa is currently looking for foster placement in the NYC or surrounding areas. He is available for local or out-of-state adoption, provided the adopter can travel to meet him.
