JJ Ryder is a solid, athletic, and loyal companion who is up for any adventure and equally happy to relax afterwards. He's approximately 4 years old and weighs about 75 lbs, with a build that makes him a natural walking partner. JJ thrives on adventure, whether it's hiking, playing fetch, swimming, or boat rides. He's particularly motivated by tennis balls and knows when it's time to go when shoes come out! When the day's activities are done, he's content to snuggle on the couch or quietly observe.

JJ forms quick bonds with men and responds well to calm, confident leadership and structure. He's intelligent, attuned, and already knows several commands, including "come" and gentle-lead walking. While he's happy to be with other dogs, including a larger male Lab and a playful small dog, he would also be content as a solo canine companion. He's best suited for an adult home or one with calm older teens, and due to his prey drive, a cat-free environment is ideal. He's not clingy, but rather loyal, steady, and dependable.

Training & Support

JJ is fully potty trained and crate trained, and can free-roam without issue. He is respectful of space, not destructive, does not resource guard, and sleeps quietly through the night. He is gentle-lead trained and comes when called. He will alert to new people or dogs but then settles.
