Kamoku & Kasumi

Kamoku, a 14-year-old male Dachshund mix weighing 17 lbs, and Kasumi, a 5-year-old female Cairn Terrier mix weighing 38 lbs (goal weight 22 lbs), were surrendered to the shelter with a decade's worth of cherished holiday photos. Their devoted owner, whose health declined, left them behind when she was admitted to a nursing home. Sadly, no one else in her life stepped up to care for them, leading to their surrender. When separated, Kamoku stopped eating, and Kasumi became inconsolable. They are a deeply bonded pair and must be adopted together. When they're together, they are calm, affectionate with people, and coexist peacefully with other animals, including cats and children.

Ideal Home

Kamoku and Kasumi are looking for a home where they can continue to be cherished companions. They are good with kids, cats, and other dogs.

Kasumi is currently working towards a goal weight of 22 lbs.

Training & Support

Kamoku and Kasumi are generally mellow and affectionate. They are house-trained and coexist calmly with other pets.
