Lady

Meet Lady, a 5-year-old Pit Mix with a heart full of love and a little bit of sass! Lady is an intelligent and affectionate girl who is always eager to please her people. She was unfortunately traumatized and dumped at a boarding facility, but she's now in our Pups on Parole Program, where we're working on building her confidence. Lady is alert and always looking around, letting you know what's going on. She is dig selective and is learning how to play nicely. Lady gets two walks a day and treadmill training.

Ideal Home

Lady would do well with an active, patient family who understands dog behavior. Someone who might be a runner would be great! She needs an experienced handler due to past trauma and some resource guarding tendencies. Lady can be a bit picky about her food and should always be fed on a schedule with her food picked up afterward.

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but she does exhibit some resource guarding tendencies around food and bones.

Training & Support

Lady is very smart and knows many commands, including sit, heel, shake with both paws, and "pray!" She also responds to silent hand signals. She is learning to play nicely and needs continued work on building confidence and managing resource guarding. Patience and dedication will be key to her success.
