LUCA

Luca is a sweet senior boy, around 9-10 years old and weighing approximately 45 pounds. He's a gentle soul who needs a little time to warm up, but once he's comfortable, his playful and cuddly side shines through! Luca is quiet and loves to snuggle, but he also gets excited for walks and, of course, mealtime. He does have some challenges with his eyesight and hearing, but his previous ear infection has been treated. He enjoys the company of other dogs but is food aggressive, meaning he will protect his food if he feels threatened.

Ideal Home

A patient and understanding home where Luca can feel secure and take his time to adjust. Due to his food aggression, a home where he can be fed separately from other pets would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Luca's eyesight and hearing are compromised. He has been treated for an ear infection.

Training & Support

Luca is food aggressive and may protect his food if he feels threatened. Supervised mealtimes and separate feeding arrangements are recommended.

Transporation

Luca is located in southeast Arizona, between Benson and Willcox. We are about 2.5 hours from Tempe and 1 hour east of Tucson. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
