Oreo

Oreo is a one-year-old "everything-in-one" mystery mix who is ready to find his forever family. Whether you are looking for a car-ride companion or a professional snuggler, Oreo is your guy. He's a sturdy, medium-large boy weighing in at 55-60 lbs. His DNA shows a unique blend of American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Pit Bull Terrier, with a dash of other breeds, making him truly one of a kind! Oreo had a rough start, being found abandoned with his siblings, but he's maintained a sweet nature. He's a social butterfly who enjoys car rides and is a gentleman around people and other dogs. Oreo has energetic "zoomie" spurts but is surprisingly low-maintenance, happy to relax after a short walk or playtime. He has shown great potential indoors, with no accidents and an apparent understanding of outdoor potty habits. He's quite the TV enthusiast, especially enjoying Clifford the Big Red Dog, and has become a world-class cuddler once he discovered the joys of a couch!

Ideal Home

Oreo gets along well with other dogs and is very sweet-natured. Due to his youthful energy and tendency to jump up to greet people, a home with children ages 10 and up is recommended. He hasn't met a cat yet, but testing is available upon request. Oreo has a funny habit of putting his front paws in his water bowl while drinking, which might be a delightful quirk for some!

Ongoing Health

Oreo is fully vetted and ready to go! His adoption includes a comprehensive health package: he is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been recently dewormed and is on consistent monthly prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Within 10 days of his travel, Oreo will receive a fresh health certificate exam and a fecal exam to ensure he is in excellent condition.

Training & Support

Oreo seems to have a good understanding of house training. His energetic greetings can be managed with continued positive reinforcement.

Transporation

Oreo is currently in Oklahoma and will be transported to adoption locations. Once adopted, he will be ready for pickup at one of our convenient stops. Transporters follow their own schedules for dates, locations, and times. Families must be available to meet the transport at the scheduled arrival time.
