Meet Chance, a charming 4-year-old neutered and vaccinated Staffie mix with an old soul and a smile that could melt glaciers. He was rescued from an overcrowded Houston shelter after being abandoned in an apartment. Chance is the perfect blend of sweet, goofy, and loving, always ready to brighten your day with his gentle spirit.
Ideal Home
Chance would thrive in a home with a relaxed and predictable routine. He would do well with a semi-active family that includes older children who can appreciate his energetic play style, and another dog of similar size. Alternatively, he would also be a wonderful, beloved only dog, soaking up all the attention. Due to a strong prey drive, cats are not a good match for Chance.

Training & Support
Chance is house-trained and sleeps through the night. He's comfortable staying home alone and happily naps in open crates or any cozy spot. While he can be a little stubborn when focused on something like squirrels, he's very responsive to the word "cookie" and his love of treats makes him an excellent candidate for continued training. He also has a funny way of "reminding" you when you're running late by standing in the doorway and grunting.

Transportation
Chance is currently located in Houston, Texas. Transports run every few weeks, and approved adopters will be placed on the next available transport. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
