Meet Shadow! This 1-year-old, 45-pound bundle of black lab and pitbull mix is a true sweetheart, eager to become your best friend. Shadow is all about affection, leaning in for love and showering her people with tail wags and puppy kisses. She's a playful pup who enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with her toys, and she's also great at entertaining herself. When it's time to relax, she's happy to snuggle up for some quality cuddle time and has a particular fondness for booty scratches. Shadow is potty trained and knows simple commands, and she enjoys walks on leash. She's still learning about the world and building her confidence, but she's eager to learn and grow with a loving family.
Ideal Home
Shadow would love a home with another dog to help her gain confidence and have a playmate. A fenced yard would be ideal for her to romp and play, but she could also adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise and enrichment. She previously met a cat and was overly excited, so a cat-free home is recommended. Shadow has also done well with children, but because she is still a bouncy and playful puppy, older children would be the best fit.
Ongoing Health
Shadow is a healthy puppy, with all vetting included in the adoption fee.
Training & Support
Shadow is working on her leash manners, which is typical for her age and will improve with time and consistency. She is very treat motivated and already knows how to sit, making training sessions fun and rewarding. Our on-site trainers have worked with her on leash walking and potty training.
