Winnie

Winnie is a beautiful 5-year-old Husky girl weighing about 50 pounds, and she comes with some seriously awesome house-dog skills. She is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and has done well with both dogs and cats. Basically, Winnie already understands the assignment. She is the kind of girl who is easy to love - sweet, smiley, and ready to be someone's loyal sidekick. Whether she's going for a walk, hopping in the car for an adventure, or relaxing at home, Winnie is happiest when she gets to be part of the family.

Ideal Home

Winnie would likely do best with older, respectful children who understand dog boundaries. Younger kids may be a little too overwhelming for her, so a calmer home with dog-savvy kids would be her best fit. She can be protective of her food around other animals, so she should be fed separately and given her own space during meals, treats, and high-value goodies.

Ongoing Health

Winnie isn't a big fan of vet visits, so she will need a patient adopter who can help her feel safe and advocate for her during medical care.

Training & Support

Winnie already has great house-dog skills, including being house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She also rides well in the car.
