Buttons is a gentle, pint-sized companion looking for a quiet home to fill with his devotion. He's as cute as a button and weighs a delicate 8 pounds. He is uniquely quiet and calm, rarely barking, and finds the loud, chaotic environment of a rescue overwhelming. Buttons is a gentle spirit who truly blossoms when things are peaceful. He loves burrowing into soft, warm blankets and playing with his toys.
Ideal Home
Buttons is looking for a quiet, low-key forever home where he can relax and let his true personality shine. A calm household is his dream come true, as loud noises and high energy make him nervous. He does well with other smaller dogs who match his gentle demeanor.
Ongoing Health
Buttons is up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be microchipped and receive a fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate within 10 days of his transport date.
Training & Support
Buttons is crate trained and settles down nicely in his crate at night. He also rides quietly and safely when crated in the car. He is still learning the ropes of housebreaking and will need a patient adopter willing to help him establish a good routine. He does go potty immediately when taken outside. He may have occasional "happy puddles" or "stage fright" when nervous or excited, but his rescue is hopeful this will decrease as he settles into a routine.
