Buster

Buster is a wonderfully well-behaved and friendly boy who has adjusted beautifully to his foster home. He loves to follow his person everywhere and happily stays close by their feet. He is house-trained with no accidents and behaves wonderfully with other dogs and people. Buster even seems to have a calming influence on the neighbor's constantly barking dog!

Buster came to us after his world was turned upside down. His owners passed away, and he and his brother were taken to a shelter in North Texas. After losing his family, Buster faced another heartbreak when a rescue group took his brother but left Buster behind because he was labeled a dachshund mix. Suddenly alone and confused, Buster was left wondering what he had done wrong. Thankfully, Buster is now safe and beginning to heal. He is finishing up his vetting and is ready to find a forever home where he will never be left behind again.

Ideal Home

Buster would love a home where he can receive plenty of love and security.

Ongoing Health

Buster received a Pro-Heart Injection that lasts for one year on June 16th.

Training & Support

When left alone, Buster does show some anxiety and may bark or howl for a bit after his person leaves. Given all that he has been through, this is understandable, and with reassurance, consistency, and love, he continues to make progress.
