Koda

Koda is a handsome 1-1/2-year-old, 45-pound Lab/Rottie mix with a glossy black coat and tan shading. He's a goofy, sweet, and sensitive boy who desperately wants to please his person and find a forever home. Koda had a rough start as a puppy surrendered to a shelter, but he's come a long way with love and training. He's house-trained and crate-trained, and he absolutely adores squeaky toys and cuddling in bed. He's also a pro at helping other foster dogs settle in, showing his gentle nature.

Ideal Home

Koda would thrive in a home with an experienced dog owner who can understand his body language and help him navigate any challenges. He needs a canine companion, preferably a larger dog, to guide him and show him the ropes. Koda is not a good fit for homes with children, cats, or livestock. He can be wary of new people, and while he's never bitten, his bark can be intimidating, so he's not a dog for casual greetings on walks.

Ongoing Health

Koda is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Koda has been trained using positive reinforcement methods. He would benefit from an owner who can continue to help him build confidence and understand his cues, especially around new people.
