Meet Alfie, a handsome and happy young dog who's ready to bring loads of fun and affection into your life! Weighing in at around 140 lbs, Alfie is a goofy, athletic, and incredibly friendly boy with a heart as big as he is. He absolutely adores toys and cherishes every moment spent with his people. Alfie has experience with children and is looking for a home with kids 12 and older, as his playful exuberance and size mean he can sometimes accidentally knock over or scratch smaller children without meaning to. He's a strong, energetic pup who thrives on activity, whether it's playing fetch in a large yard or enjoying a trip to the dog park.

Ideal Home

Alfie would thrive in a home with an experienced owner who understands large breeds and can provide the structure he needs to be his best self. A large yard with a high fence or wall is a must for this energetic giant. He gets along with other large, friendly dogs after proper introductions, but he is not suited for homes with small dogs due to his size and lack of awareness of his own strength. He also needs a home without toddlers.

Alfie is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

While Alfie knows basic commands, he would benefit greatly from ongoing professional training to help him continue to grow into a well-mannered canine companion. His energy level is medium to high, and he does jump, so consistent reinforcement of good manners will be key to his success.
