RUBY

Ruby is a six-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix with a heart full of love to give. She comes from a background of hardship, having endured physical abuse and neglect. Because of her past, Ruby can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she'll be your most devoted companion. She's been through so much, but her spirit shines through with every wag of her tail and sweet look she gives. A generous sponsor has kindly covered her adoption fee of $225.00, making it even easier for her to find her forever home!

Ideal Home

Ruby thrives in a calm and predictable environment. While she's quiet and doesn't mind other dogs, she would do best as the only dog in the home. She loves attention but gets easily startled by excitement, so a peaceful home is ideal. She's not a guard dog; in fact, she's quite the opposite and will seek comfort behind you if scared.

Ongoing Health

Ruby is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), has been dewormed, spayed, microchipped, and is on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has also been heartworm tested and treated as needed.

Training & Support

Ruby is a smart cookie and already knows how to sit, down, touch, and shake! She's also doing well with leash training. She's exceptionally well-behaved during baths and nail trims, showing great patience. While she's generally good on a leash, she can pull if startled, and she is a strong dog. She needs a patient adopter who can help her navigate the world gently.
