Lukas

Lukas is a handsome Doberman Pinscher mix, a little over one year old, with a striking gray and tan coat. He came to us in March 2021 when his previous family could no longer keep him. Lukas is a smart boy who thrives on companionship and may not do well when left alone for extended periods. He was also surrendered because he couldn't live with a small female dog and showed destructive tendencies when left outside, like damaging a sprinkler system and a hot tub cover.

Ideal Home

Lukas would do best as the only dog in the home. He's looking for a family that works from home or is retired, ensuring he has plenty of company. He responds best to mild corrections and can become defensive with harsh or intimidating training methods.

Ongoing Health

Lukas is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Lukas has shown some destructive behavior when left unsupervised outdoors. Understanding his need for companionship and providing him with engaging activities when you are home will be key to his success. Gentle and consistent training methods will help him feel secure and build a strong bond with his new family.
