Walter

Walter is a sweet 5-year-old retired Greyhound who loves to sleep in, enjoy breakfast, and then take off for some exhilarating zoomies in the yard. After his morning bursts of energy, he's content to spend his day lounging with his favorite squeaky toy or basking in the sun while people-watching.

Ideal Home

Walter has done wonderfully with all people he's met, including children. He enjoys walks and is often found waiting by the door, eager to head out. He walks well on a leash and is calm when he sees other dogs. He is not cat friendly, but he does well with dogs of all sizes.

Ongoing Health

Walter is a retired athlete, and his health is in good condition.

Training & Support

Walter loves his crate and often chooses to spend time in it. He can go up stairs but will not go down them.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• The adoption fee for Walter is $300.00, which covers his spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, parasite treatments, dental cleaning, microchip, and microchip registration. He will also come with a special sighthound collar and leash set, and a muzzle.
• There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
• Meetings for dogs are not scheduled without an approved application.

Transporation

Walter is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. Adopters must be committed to meeting him in this area, as we do not ship dogs.
