About Masha
Masha is a stunning Alaskan Husky, about 5 years old, weighing around 55 lbs. She is a truly majestic dog with captivating sky-blue eyes and a noble presence that makes her unforgettable. Masha has a calm and affectionate personality. She loves people and eagerly seeks pets and attention, showing no signs of aggression. She’s a quick learner and possesses a wonderfully balanced temperament—loyal, brave, social, and affectionate. Masha is playful, fun, and talkative, with a curious nature that adds to her charm. She does well in a crate for up to 12 hours without accidents and walks on a leash, though she can pull a little when excited. While she enjoys toys, she can be a bit protective of them, especially around other dogs. When bored and without toys, she might chew on household items. True to her Husky nature, she loves to howl and bark and has a stubborn streak. Masha can be territorial with other dogs, particularly dominant ones, but she's not aggressive; she simply likes to establish herself as "the boss" playfully. With children, she is loving and gentle. Masha has been waiting five years for her forever family and deserves a home where she can finally experience the full, beautiful life she has been waiting for.
Ideal Home
Masha would thrive in a very active family, preferably with other dogs and children. An ideal home would also have owners with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and a willingness to provide protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued dogs, is a must. Owners should understand that rescued pets may have experienced trauma and require an adjustment period.
Ongoing Health
Masha's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, complete vaccinations (DHPPI, rabies, Bordetella), deworming, and a one-month supply of flea, tick, and heartworm preventative (NexGard). A health certificate will also be provided.
Training & Support
Masha is not house-trained. She may chew on inappropriate items when bored and without toys. She can pull on the leash due to excitement and can be territorial with other dogs. She also has a stubborn streak and enjoys howling and barking. Patience and understanding will be crucial as she adjusts to a new environment.
