Elana (AO36464)

Meet Elana, a sweet 2-year-old Lab mix who's ready to find her forever home! Elana and three other dogs were sadly abandoned and left to fend for themselves at Pierson Park. Thankfully, our dedicated dog trapper was able to safely rescue them. Elana is a gentle soul, but due to her past, she can be timid and scared, especially when encountering new things. She is not aggressive at all, just a little shy, and she'll blossom with a patient adopter who can help her build trust and learn that she is safe.

Ideal Home

Elana absolutely thrives with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a canine companion already there. A doggie friend will make her feel secure and encourage her playful spirit. She needs an adopter who can be patient as she learns to trust and also work with her on leash walking, as this can be a bit frightening for her.

Ongoing Health

Elana has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Elana is still learning to feel comfortable with leash walking and may need to be carried at times. She's working on this, but will require continued patience and positive reinforcement in her new home.

Transporation

Elana is located at KCK Animal Services at 3301 Park Drive, KCK. We are open for meet-and-greet adoptions on Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM with no appointment needed.
