Pippi Longstocking

Pippi Longstocking is a resilient and loving girl who has overcome so much! She arrived at SAAP with her litter of puppies and faced serious health challenges, including coccidia, Giardia, worms, and parvovirus. While her puppies sadly did not survive, Pippi bravely battled parvovirus and then heartworm. After extensive treatment, including 30 days of crate rest, she is now healthy and ready for her second chance at happiness! She is approximately 50 pounds, potty trained, very gentle, submissive, and adores attention. Pippi is not dog-aggressive, but she can be nervous and scared when other dogs approach her.

Ideal Home

A home where she can receive plenty of love and attention. Given her nervousness around other dogs, a home without them might be ideal, or one where introductions can be managed very carefully.

Ongoing Health

Pippi has successfully completed treatment for parvovirus and heartworm. She requires continued monitoring for her overall health.

Training & Support

Pippi is potty trained and eager to please. Her gentle and submissive nature makes her a joy, but she will need continued support to build her confidence, especially around other animals.
