Winston

Hello there! I'm Winston, and my journey to find my forever home is a testament to resilience and second chances. My life was nearly cut short due to a severely injured leg, but a compassionate rescue volunteer intervened, and I'm so thankful for the life-saving amputation and the opportunity to learn to walk on three legs. Despite my past, my spirit is strong, and I'm eager to share my big heart with a loving family.

I truly enjoy playing with my canine pals, but my favorite way to unwind is by snuggling up on the couch. Walks are a great adventure, though I do have a little quirk when it's time to go out: I sometimes momentarily flatten myself on the ground. A couple of gentle tugs on the leash, and I'm ready to explore! I'm house and kennel trained and am generally a quiet fellow, only joining in with the barking chorus when my foster siblings set the mood.

Ongoing Health

I've had a leg amputation and am now a proud tripod! I am neutered, up to date on all my vaccines, and on a monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventive.

Training & Support

I am house and kennel trained. I'm currently participating in the Paws In Prison program, where I'm learning new tricks and how to be the best doggie ever!
