Sam

Sam is an almost 5-year-old mixed breed boy who is ready to find his forever family! His handlers describe him as a sweet and loving dog who enjoys tug, chase, lick mats, and seek. He's comfortable around other dogs and is friendly with people after an initial greeting, though he can be a bit timid and nervous around new introductions. Sam has learned many basic cues such as sit, down, stay, touch, chin, and spin. He is a playful pup who loves working for treats, going for walks, sniffing, and cuddling. Sam also gets along well with old people and kids, and he enjoys grooming. He has been working hard in our program, and thanks to confidence-building protocols and dedicated behavior work, he's become much more relaxed and playful. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will deeply love you, Sam might be the one!

Ideal Home

Sam would do best in a home that is calm and predictable. He doesn't like loud noises, a lot of people, or being left alone. While he's still working on fetch, he loves playing tug, seek, and chase.

Sam is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Sam knows several basic commands and enjoys learning new things, especially when treats are involved. He can be timid around new people but warms up with a friendly greeting. He is still working on his confidence in new situations and can be nervous around loud noises.
