About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix, currently weighing 45 lbs and estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, with a quirky charm that brings smiles to her foster family daily. Coraline's favorite game is peek-a-boo, and she expresses her joy with adorable zoomies. She's deeply people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, following them around like a shadow. Coraline shows affection through gentle puppy kisses and resting a paw or her nose against your leg. She has a calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion, content to entertain herself quietly. She's also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends calmly before continuing to play or explore. Coraline is the perfect blend of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your future best friend and sidekick.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks and hikes to cozy evenings on the couch. She needs to be included in her family's daily routine and would love a home with a fenced yard for playtime and sunbathing. Due to her size and occasional nervousness in busy areas, apartments or condos are not ideal. Coraline requires another dog in her forever home and would do well with older children and a cat. She thrives with her human home more often than not, but doggy daycare a few days a week would also be suitable. Coraline's ideal family will cherish her unique personality and spend lots of quality time with her. Public dog parks are not recommended due to potential risks.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has had any necessary vet care while in our rescue's care.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still mastering leash training and needs additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and walks well with positive reinforcement. She alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a doggy door. A consistent potty schedule is recommended, especially when she first settles into her new home. A doggy doorbell can be helpful if a doggy door is not available.
