Keri is a 5-year-old female mixed breed who originally came to us from Kuwait in 2019. She had a tough start in life, rescued from the desert before making her way to us. Though adopted in 2020, she found herself back with us through no fault of her own. Keri is a well-mannered, though quite lazy, girl who needs a little encouragement to get moving. She's currently a bit overweight, with her thyroid contributing only partially to her size; the rest is due to being overfed and under-exercised.
Ideal Home
Keri would do best with a moderately lazy owner who can ensure she gets a walk or two a day and isn't overfed. She's generally good with dogs her own size, but she's not a fan of yippy little dogs and can also take or leave other dogs in general, as long as they don't bother her. She is not a cat-friendly dog. Keri truly desires an owner who will be her one and only. If you're a bit of a social hermit who's over humanity and just wants a dog that loves to hang out with you, Keri is your girl. She is fiercely loyal to her person and sees them as her everything, viewing others as interlopers.
Ongoing Health
Keri has a thyroid condition that is being managed. She is also currently overweight and would benefit from a carefully managed diet and exercise routine to reach her ideal weight of around 45 pounds.
Training & Support
Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. She is quiet by nature and not the life of the party. She's the perfect companion for someone who enjoys quiet nights in, perhaps watching true crime documentaries.
