Three veterinarians said Camal would never walk again after breaking her back… but she proved everyone wrong. Today, she’s walking, running, and even swimming — and loving every second of it. This remarkable girl has an enormous love for water and an even bigger love for life. • Defied the odds — walking, running & swimming • Incontinent due to her spinal injury (needs bladder expressed 2–3x/day) • Water lover — baths will never be a problem • Leash trained, super social, great with kids • Not good with cats • Full of energy, joy, and resilience • Likely a Lab/Weimaraner mix (but not certain) • Needs a special adopter experienced with incontinence care

Camal is a miracle in motion — brave, happy, and so deserving of a home where she can finally live outside the rescue. ✨ This incredible girl is ready for her forever chance.

Camal is with a small rescue in Bucerias. They are not on Petfinder so we try to help them by adding their dogs. Please reach out if you're interested in Camal and we will pass your application on to them.

Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

⚠️ It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.

We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border — this remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward. 🐾✈️❤️
