SUMMIT

Summit is an adorable retriever puppy with floppy ears and the kind of puppy-dog eyes that can melt hearts. He's part of a litter of five puppies who, along with Canyon, Denali, and Promise, came from a hoarding situation. This means Summit and his siblings are new to a lot of everyday experiences like leashes, handling, different voices, yards, toys, freedom, and kindness. It's like they're learning about the whole world at once while still being babies! Summit is a sweet boy at heart, ready to bloom with the right family. He's not a "bad" puppy; he's just a puppy learning to navigate life outside of survival mode and discover the joy in things like zoomies, tail wags, and toys.

Ideal Home

We're looking for adopters with plenty of patience and realistic expectations. Summit may be shy at first and might need time to warm up to you and his new surroundings. He might also cling to one person initially, as that's all he's ever known. He does not need perfection; he needs kindness, patience, routine, and people who will allow him to grow at his own pace. Adopters must be 21 or older.

Summit's health is currently clear, but he is still a young puppy.

Training & Support

Summit will need guidance as he learns about the world. He's learning to exist outside of survival mode, so patience and positive reinforcement will be key. He'll need help discovering how fun toys are and that humans can be safe.

Summit is located in Fosters, AL. We can transport him North to an adopter for an additional $200, with stops in CT, PA, VT, and anywhere along our route.
