Meet Oakley! This handsome 68lb Terrier/Pitbull mix, born around December 16, 2021, is the sweetest boy who will follow you around like your shadow. If you're in a room, Oakley will be too! His foster mom describes him as independent and very smart; he already knows "sit" and "get on your bed."
Oakley's absolute favorite thing is walks, and he enjoys three to four per day, walking like a pro on leash. He understands the command "slow down" when he gets too excited. Oakley tolerates other dogs but would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home. He does have a strong prey drive and enjoys chasing cats and squirrels. Despite his past struggles, Oakley is incredibly sweet and loves to cuddle by your side. He was found as a stray in a rough neighborhood, emaciated with a nearly severed ear, making his current affectionate nature even more heartwarming.
Ideal Home
Oakley would do best in a home where he can be your constant companion. He's not a fan of cats or small critters like squirrels, so a home without them would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Oakley is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is also potty trained.
Training & Support
Oakley is a smart boy who knows a couple of commands. While he is potty trained, continued positive reinforcement will help him thrive.
