Huckleberry Hound

Huckleberry Hound is a 6-year-old hound with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Rescued from a severe abuse and neglect case, Huckleberry has come a long way and continues to show just how resilient and loving he truly is. He was previously adopted but returned when it became clear that Huckleberry thrives best as the only dog in the home. He can be dog selective and prefers having all the attention to himself—honestly, he deserves it! Huckleberry is a moderate to high-energy boy who loves to stay active and engaged. Whether it's playing with his favorite toys or going out for walks, he's always ready for the next adventure. He walks well on leash and already knows his basic commands, making him a fun and rewarding companion to work with. Despite his energetic side, Huck has a soft spot for cuddling and will happily settle down with you after a day of fun. He bonds deeply with his people and loves being close once he feels safe and comfortable.

Ideal Home

Huckleberry would do best in a single-dog home without cats, where he can continue to build confidence and enjoy a stable, loving environment.
