Willa

Willa is a playful, affectionate Great Dane mix with a big heart and a love for staying close to her people. This energetic Velcro dog enjoys running, playing, car rides, and being part of the action. She is currently in foster care in Springdale, Arkansas, and was born on April 2, 2023.

Ideal Home

Willa would thrive with a patient, active family able to provide multiple walks, playtime, mental stimulation, guidance, structure, and consistency. She lives happily with two large dogs after slow introductions and may enjoy having another confident dog in her home. She does well with a 5-year-old; younger toddlers can make her nervous because of their quick movements. She may be reserved with new adults at first but becomes loving and loyal once she warms up.

Willa is vaccinated and not yet spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

Willa is fully housetrained and rides well in the car. She is working on leash manners, is attentive, does not pull, and is eager to learn. She is still learning boundaries, may chew when unsupervised, and should be crated when home alone. She has separation anxiety but has made significant progress with a sturdy crate setup.
