Malouk

Meet Malouk, a 12-year-old, 85-pound German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a loving heart. Malouk came to us as an owner surrender after his person passed away. He wasn't receiving the care he needed for a year, so he was surrendered to give him a chance at the safe, loving life he deserves. Now, he's ready to find a home where he can truly be cherished. This sweet senior is blind, but he navigates life with resilience and still enjoys walks, naps, and treats. He occasionally gets a playful spark and is incredibly friendly with people, with a soft spot for children.

Ideal Home

Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key home where he can feel safe and settled. He would be perfectly happy as an only pet but also does well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand he spooks easily due to being blind.

Ongoing Health

Malouk is blind, which can cause some anxiety. He does well with calming medication and a consistent environment.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained but may mark indoors. Belly bands have been an effective solution. He will need continued leash training as he can pull, especially when excited or unsure. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.

Transporation
