Meet Trix, an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, despite her shy demeanor. Trix and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and Trix, being the more withdrawn of the two, needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. She is gentle and observant, quickly learning new things like using a doggy door. With patience and trust-building, she begins to soften and shows her playful and affectionate side, even enjoying couch cuddles. Trix is house-trained, crate-trained, and has had positive experiences with children, though she is initially shy. She is also quiet and appears to be a low-rider mix who will likely be a medium-sized dog when fully grown.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around more often than not, as she is still a puppy and requires consistent time to build trust. A confident canine companion would be beneficial for her to learn from and feel more secure. Adopters should be patient, compassionate, and committed to helping her overcome her fears.
Ongoing Health
Trix has no known health conditions. She is spayed.
Training & Support
Trix is still learning to walk on a leash. Due to her shyness, she needs gentle guidance and consistent positive reinforcement to build her confidence. Building trust with her humans is a key part of her development.
