River is a 1 year old, 14-pound Jack Russell / Chihuahua mix who is brimming with love and eager to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four! This happy little guy is a social butterfly who loves other dogs and has happily shared his kennel with new canine pals. He'd be thrilled to have a playful pup sibling or to be your one and only! River is also wonderful with kids and craves affection. He's happiest when he's getting pets, playing, or simply hanging out with his favorite humans. His cheerful personality and loving nature make him an easy dog to fall in love with. River is described by his foster as a winner, great with other dogs, new people, and kids of all ages. While he's still working on potty training, his perfect personality makes up for it. He's the perfect size for adventures, from neighborhood walks to couch cuddles, and is ready to be your loyal sidekick.

Ideal Home

A home where River will receive consistent stimulation, exercise, and love. A positive reinforcement training class is highly recommended to promote great behavior, bonding, and confidence.

Ongoing Health

River is up to date on vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Training & Support

River is still working on potty training, but his foster is rewarding him with high-value treats when he potties outside. Positive reinforcement training is strongly encouraged.
