Meet Andy, a 2-year-old Retriever mix who embodies pure joy on four paws! Weighing in at a perfect 50-55 lbs, Andy's journey began in Texas where he and his siblings were abandoned. Thankfully, they were rescued, and Andy has since blossomed into a resilient, loving, and affectionate dog eager for his forever home. He's a true gentleman, house-trained, crate-trained, and has settled beautifully into his foster home, showing an adaptable and "old soul" demeanor. While he might be a bit shy initially, his gentle personality shines through quickly. Andy thrives on routine, companionship, and being part of the family's activities, whether it's walks, playtime, or quiet relaxation. He walks well on leash, takes treats gently, and is a pleasure to be around.
Ideal Home
Andy dreams of a calm, loving environment where he can continue to flourish. His ideal home would include another dog to be his best friend and playmate, as he truly thrives in the company of other pups. While a yard is a bonus, his main requirement is a loving, consistent home with a canine companion. He would do best in a home with children 10 years and older.
Ongoing Health
Andy is a healthy boy ready for his forever home.
Training & Support
Andy is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks nicely on leash and is eager to please, making him a joy to train further.
