Rose

Rose is a sweet senior Beagle, guessing around 12 or 13 years old. She's the last of "The Golden Girls," a trio of senior hunting dogs rescued in poor health. Rose has overcome a significant hernia, which was successfully surgically repaired. She absolutely adores people and will happily follow her foster parents around, seeking out chin scratches, belly rubs, and plenty of petting.

Ideal Home

Rose would thrive in a home where she can be close to her people. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys "helping" them finish their food, though she's not aggressive. While she's shy and rarely barks, her incontinency requires full-time diaper use. She tends to stay dry overnight but may leak when excited, particularly around meal times.

Ongoing Health

Rose has arthritis in her legs and requires daily medication to manage her pain. She is also incontinent and will need to wear diapers. Due to her past experiences, she has a tendency to eat mud and grass when outside, so supervision is recommended.

Training & Support

Rose is not crated and sleeps soundly in her dog bed. She may occasionally wake up during the night but is usually quiet until around 5:30 am. Rose is intelligent and has figured out how to access the pantry for treats, including more exotic finds like potatoes and red onions!
