Twinkle

Twinkle is a resilient, loving, and full of personality approximately 5-6 year old female dog who has overcome a heartbreaking past. She was abandoned by her owner who also delayed necessary medical care for an injury, resulting in hind leg paresis. Despite this, Twinkle has shown incredible progress through supplements and alternative therapies like acupuncture, electromagnetic treatment, massage, and physical therapy, demonstrating steady and meaningful improvement. She is cooperative and patient when her bladder and bowels need to be expressed 3-4 times a day, a process that takes only a few minutes. Twinkle is a great eater, enjoys activities similar to mobile dogs, and gets along well with other respectful animals.

Ideal Home

Twinkle would thrive in a home with older, calm children (10+). She needs an adopter experienced or willing to learn about special needs care, with the time and dedication to help her thrive.

Ongoing Health

Twinkle has hind leg paresis, which means she has partial mobility. While surgery was no longer an option for her injury, she is doing well with ongoing supplements and therapies. She needs her bladder and bowels expressed 3-4 times daily. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne diseases. She has no other health concerns.

Training & Support

Twinkle is a total champ with her daily expressed needs. She is cooperative, patient, and even helps by posturing.
