Chase

Chase is a handsome 5-year-old, 57-pound Lab mix who finds himself in need of a loving home. He was surrendered to the shelter in early January and is unfortunately showing signs of kennel stress due to the noisy environment. Chase is a dog who clearly thrives on companionship, as he was once part of a family. He's friendly with other dogs and would do well with a sturdy canine pal who enjoys a bit of roughhousing. Chase is receptive to gentle corrections from his doggy friends and genuinely enjoys his time in the play yard, free from his kennel. He also enjoys splashing in the kiddie pool! During a field trip, Chase showed promise with leash walking and seemed unfazed by children petting him through a fence at a park while watching a baseball game. He has a preference for soft treats over hard bones. Chase is truly an angel waiting for his chance to shine in a home.

Ideal Home

Chase would do best in a home where he can escape the stress of a noisy shelter and has the opportunity to be part of a family again. He would likely do well with a sturdy, playful canine companion.

Chase is heartworm positive.

Training & Support

Chase walks well on a leash and takes corrections well from other dogs. He seems to be comfortable around children.
