Josie Ella is a true princess, not in the demanding sense, but in her quiet, observant, and gentle nature. This approximately 3.5-year-old, 60 lb pittie mix is a "slow bloom" who is learning to trust that the world can be a kind place. While she might not be a snuggle bug for cuddles yet, she gracefully accepts affection and finds joy in resting by your legs. Josie's "peace-bringing" presence has a way of calming any room, and her greatest motivators are treats – she takes them with the softest lips! She's a "dog's dog" who thrives in the company of other canines and is completely unfazed by feline friends. Josie is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who values the quiet magic of earning trust and celebrates the small victories.

Ideal Home

Josie needs a home with at least one other confident dog to help build her confidence. She is excellent with cats and teenagers.

Josie is a quiet and observant dog who is still learning to trust. She is highly motivated by food and takes treats very gently. She will follow the lead of other dogs and is respectful. She doesn't initiate play until she feels comfortable.

Josie is currently in Texas. Transportation is available nationwide for an additional $87 surcharge. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
