Uma is a sweet and affectionate Miniature Dachshund, over 3 years old, who is seeking a special guardian home. She is gentle, sensitive, and thrives on positive reinforcement and gentle encouragement. Uma loves chasing squirrels, and her sister Luna enjoys exploring. This co-ownership opportunity allows Uma to live as a beloved family pet while remaining part of a small breeding program. She will return to her breeder for limited times for breeding, pregnancy, and puppy-raising, then go back to her guardian home. Once retired from the breeding program, full ownership will be transferred to her guardian family.

Ideal Home

A guardian home within reasonable driving distance of Austin, TX. Experienced dog owners are preferred. It's important that the home does not have any intact male dogs. The guardian family must be committed to providing a loving, lifelong home and willing to maintain communication and follow the guardian contract.

Ongoing Health

Uma has been health tested and has had one litter of puppies with a smooth delivery and healthy offspring. She is up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming and will receive proper vet checks before going to her guardian home. Her health records will be provided.

Training & Support

Uma responds best to consistency, sweet-talking, and positive reinforcement-based training. She is described as soft and sweet like butter.
