About Honey

Honey is a gentle, affectionate, 5-year-old companion who is looking for a home where she can be close to her people. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she bonds with you, she becomes a true "Velcro dog," following you everywhere, happily snoozing beside you, and always ready for cuddles, belly rubs, and couch time. Honey has never shown any aggression and quickly bonds with her person.

Ideal Home

Honey would do best with someone who works from home or is home for most of the day. She MUST be in a home with a fully fenced yard and someone who is home often to continue to work on her house training. Pee pads are available.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned in the listing.

Training & Support

Like many dogs from puppy mills, Honey can become anxious in new and different scenarios. She struggled with nighttime pacing and panting when she first arrived and is most comfortable sleeping in bed with her people. She is not a fan of crates and dislikes car rides. Her adopter should be prepared to continue building her confidence and making sure she feels safe through positive reinforcement and enrichment. Honey is mostly house-trained and does best on a consistent bathroom schedule, as she doesn't reliably signal when she needs to go outside. Occasional accidents can happen if her routine changes.
