Vero is a sweet, energetic English Shepherd mix who loves belly rubs and spending time outdoors. She's happiest when she has plenty of space to explore, especially in a large, fenced yard where she can indulge her passion for squirrel-watching. While she can be vocal about her furry neighbors, she's generally quiet and well-behaved. Vero is adaptable and gets along well with both people and dogs, often choosing to do her own thing but happy to socialize when the mood strikes. She's currently living with older dogs and mostly ignores them, and while she's seen cats and knows they're around, she doesn't have direct access to them. Vero is still learning and settling in, showing progress by starting to relax and sit with her people. She's a smart girl who already knows to sit politely for her food in her kennel and sleeps comfortably on a blanket on the floor or couch at night.
Ideal Home
Vero would thrive in a home with a spacious, fenced yard where she can safely enjoy her love for the outdoors. A home that can provide ample time for her to exercise and explore would be ideal. Given her interest in cats, a home without cats would be best.
Ongoing Health
Vero's adoption fee includes a full veterinary exam, spay, dental cleaning, microchip, deworming, rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), distemper combo vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, and 4DX testing (if over 6 months). She will also receive flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
Training & Support
Vero's leash manners are still developing, and she could use some practice in this area. She's a quick learner and has already started to relax and bond with her people, so with a little patience and consistent positive reinforcement, she'll surely blossom. She may need some time to adjust to a new environment, so a calm and understanding approach will help her feel secure.
