Sophia is a gorgeous 3.5-year-old velvet hippo who is looking for her perfect forever family. While she might look confident and ready to take on the world in her pictures, Sophia is a truly special, shy girl who needs a patient and loving touch to help her blossom. Once Sophia knows she is safe, her gentle and loving nature shines right through, and she's ready for adventures! She handles her walks like a champ and looks absolutely stunning sporting her vibrant red harness!
Ideal Home
Because the world can be a little overwhelming for Sophia, she has a couple of specific requirements for her future home to ensure she feels safe and secure:
- A fenced-in yard: A secure, fenced-in yard is a must for Sophia. It gives her a safe space to run, play, and do her business without the pressure of the big, scary outside world.
- A confident canine sibling (optional but ideal): Sophia would absolutely thrive in a home with another confident, well-adjusted dog. Having a furry mentor to show her the ropes and remind her that life is good will do wonders for her confidence!
- A patient family: She needs humans who understand that good things take time. If you are willing to let her move at her own pace, the reward of watching her trust you will be unmatched.
Ongoing Health
Every dog with Wilder Souls Rescue receives thorough veterinary care before adoption. Each pup is examined by our vet and treated for age-appropriate needs. This typically includes:
- Full health exam
- Deworming
- Core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP series, Rabies)
- Microchipping
- Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
