About Teddy

Teddy is a charming 3.5-year-old, 10-pound pup whose DNA reveals a delightful mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. He was rescued as a matted mess, but after a much-needed shave and with his coat now beautifully grown back, he's a truly handsome fellow who will require regular grooming to maintain his good looks. Teddy's vision has been wonderfully restored thanks to successful cataract surgery on both eyes, and he's now seeing the world with clarity! He adores being a lap dog and will enthusiastically claim a spot on his foster's lap. While he generally gets along with other dogs, he prefers calmer companions and can become possessive of his food, so he would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter canine friend. He's mostly house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is a big fan of car rides. Teddy is eager to be a devoted companion for his lucky person.

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home without children under 8 years old and with experienced dog owners. He'd also do best as the only dog or with an older, quieter companion.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now on eye medication to aid his healing. He's up-to-date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can get snappy with other dogs if they try to eat his food, so he would do best with an owner who can manage his food possessiveness.
