Meet Hugo, a striking 3-year-old, 65-pound black Labrador with an incredible love for all things water! Hugo is a highly active boy who thrives when he has a job to do or training to focus his big, athletic energy. Structure, enrichment, and consistency help him shine, and he’s eager to learn when given direction. At just one year old, Hugo was heartbreakingly abandoned, labeled "too crazy" when in reality, he was simply a young puppy full of life. Now more mature, he's looking for a family willing to teach him the ways of being a well-mannered house dog and give him the stability he missed early on. With patience, outlets for his energy, and plenty of water adventures, Hugo will grow into an incredible companion—loyal, joyful, and always ready for the next adventure. Hugo is ready for his second chance, his forever family, and a life filled with love and splashes.

Ideal Home

Hugo thrives with an active family who can provide him with structure, enrichment, and consistency. He particularly loves water, so access to puddles, ponds, hoses, or lakes would be a bonus!

Ongoing Health

Hugo is a healthy, active dog. All vetting is included in the transportation fee.

Training & Support

Hugo is eager to learn and will benefit from continued training and guidance to help him become a well-mannered house dog. He has a lot of energy and needs outlets for it.

Hugo is available for adoption in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, TN & KY, IL, IN, WA, & OH. Custom transports are available when needed. You can also pick up at our Angleton, TX location.
