Meet Flacko!
Flacko is an 8-month-old, neutered male German Shepherd Dog mix who currently weighs around 40lbs. He’s a certified good boy who absolutely loves people and other dogs! He's a quick learner who is eager to please and is just waiting for his forever person to find him. Flacko is energetic and loves to play, but he's also great at reading other dogs' cues and respecting their boundaries. He's even gotten an A++ from doggie daycare playgroups and enjoys snuggling with smaller puppy friends. He's been great with his foster's 10-year-old nephew and would likely enjoy having a human sibling to play with. After a fun play session, Flacko loves to cuddle and show off his belly for rubs. He's a huge fan of pool time and enjoys entertaining himself with his favorite toys. Flacko is house and crate trained and is ready to win your heart!
Ideal Home
Flacko would thrive in a home with an experienced adopter who can help him navigate the world with confidence. He has enjoyed playing with his foster's 10-year-old nephew and would likely enjoy a human sibling to play with. While he is generally good with other dogs, he can be a bit of a wild man when playing, so an adopter who understands dog body language would be beneficial. He may be a bit too enthusiastic for some cats. He is still working on puppy manners like jumping and pulling on a leash, so he will need to be supervised around smaller children.

Flacko is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered. He is generally a healthy pup.
Training & Support
Flacko is house and crate trained. He is working on his puppy manners, including not jumping and not pulling on the leash. Consistent supervision and positive reinforcement will help him continue to learn and grow.

Transporation
Flacko is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is found. Transports run every few weeks.
