Say Hello to Porter!

Some dogs make an impression the moment you meet them-and Porter is one of them. At 1 year old and about 45 pounds, this sweet, gentle boy is full of love and looking for a family to call his own. His deafness doesn't define him-it simply means he experiences the world a little differently. What matters most is his kind heart, eager spirit, and endless capacity for love. Porter may take a minute to warm up to new people, but once he feels safe, he's all about companionship, affection, and being close to his favorite humans. He's the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart and never leaves. He's also a smart cookie! Porter is learning tether training, leash manners, basic obedience, and polite greetings with all four paws on the floor. He responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and is catching on to hand signals and routines like a champ. Porter's favorite qualities include being sweet as pie and incredibly affectionate, enjoying the company of other dogs, and living successfully with cats in a managed household. He is deaf but eager to learn and connect, crate trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
