About Tonya Brindle Beauty Wants You
Tonya is a 7-month-old pittie mix with a stunning brindle coat and the kind of coloring that makes people stop mid-sentence. She currently weighs about 40 lbs. and is very much a typical puppy—sweet, curious, goofy, and learning the ropes. She’s working on her leash skills and on not being a tiny land shark (progress is happening!), and while Tonya does love to chew, she’s been great about sticking to appropriate items. A very good girl in the making. Tonya is thriving with her foster dog siblings—she confidently holds her own with her playful foster brother and is wonderfully respectful of the senior dog in the home. She would love another dog in her forever home and would do best with a canine companion to learn from and play with. She was previously fostered with cats and, with slow and proper introductions, is believed to be successful with dog-savvy cats. Her foster mom says Tonya tries to be stealthy… but she stomps when she walks, so you’ll always know it’s her coming 😂. She’s a big fan of sleep, though she sometimes needs reassurance that it’s okay to nap—she’s not missing out on anything, promise. Tonya recently had her very first sleepover while her foster mom was out of town — and she did amazing! She stayed in a high-rise apartment for the first time. The elevator was a little scary at first, but she was so brave and quickly settled in. She had a blast playing with her temporary Husky mix foster sister, enjoyed lounging on the balcony taking in the sights and sounds, and even got a fun trip to the pet store. Most of all, she loved snuggling up with her second foster mom. Potty training is going well, and while the colder weather has been a bit of a surprise for this Texas girl, she’s ready to rock some winter sweaters and embrace cozy season. Tonya is a rockstar at adoption events- impressing everyone with her friendly nature and love of meeting new human and dog friends alike. She really hopes her family is around the corner!
Ideal Home
Tonya would make a lovely addition to an active family or adopter who is committed to continued training, socialization, and giving a smart, affectionate puppy the structure she needs to shine. She would love another dog in her forever home and would do best with a canine companion to learn from and play with. She is believed to be successful with dog-savvy cats with slow and proper introductions.
Ongoing Health
Tonya is up to date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She is microchipped and has a 12-month heartworm preventative injection.
