Addie is a sweet 4.5-year-old, spayed female pitbull terrier mix who weighs around 45 pounds. She was rescued from a difficult situation on the streets, where she was found underweight and suffering from mange. Despite her past struggles, Addie is a resilient survivor who is now embracing her new lease on life and learning what it means to be a loved house dog. She's a willing and promising student, eager to experience all the joys of a happy home.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard where she can roam and run. She enjoys cuddles and would love to have a male dog sibling of equal to bigger size (40-60 lbs) to sleep next to. She also wishes for plenty of couches to relax on as she enters her "Soft Life Era." Homes with children should be aware that while she is gentle, supervised interactions are recommended until everyone is accustomed to each other. Older, calmer pre-teens and teenagers may be a better fit for her.
Ongoing Health
Addie was treated for mange and has recovered. She is also currently underweight but is improving with regular meals. She may have occasional accidents as she continues to perfect her house training in a new environment.
Training & Support
Addie is crate trained and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. She has also been trusted to sleep loose without issues. While she is still working on her house training and may have occasional accidents, she is learning quickly. She is very food motivated and will try to eat other pets' food, so she should be fed separately.
